We are Amber and Eli Ruonavaara. We reside in Eastern Washington along the Snake River in Hell's Canyon and have 15 acres with goats, horses, and Aussies.  Eli is retired and spends most of his time at home relaxing.  We moved to Asotin, Washington in 2018.  Amber works from home in the food industry and is home most of the time.  In the late 1970s and early 1980s Eli was active in showing and raising ASCA Registered Australian Shepherds.  His prized dog was ASCA Ch. Higgins Razzmatazz of Larkspur ("Beau") out of HOF ASCA Ch. Fieldmaster Flintridge CD and HOF ASCA Ch. Patchwork Quilt.  Eli eventually got out of the Aussie world but always had hopes of one day owning another.  In 2019, Amber surprised Eli with a beautiful blue merle puppy named "Jake".  Not long after we added Foxtail Farms Painted Lady ("Cheyenne") and soon fell in love all over again with Aussies.  They have been great family dogs, ranch dogs, and companions for us.  Jake goes to Oregon every week with Eli to see Grandpa Russ and Cheyenne remains as Amber's right-hand gal.   While we started breeding pet line Australian Shepherds in 2020 we are working on transitioning our program to Show lines.  In 2022 we added our first show dog and added 2 more in 2023.  We are looking forward to being active in the show world this spring and summer and look forward to seeing you all out on the road.
